I'm from here: A Gastronomic Trip in Time / Soy de Aquí: Un viaje Gastronómico en el Tiempo

This is my second I'm from here post talking about where I am Puerto Rico. Today they I'm going to talk you about the 100 year celebration of existence of the Old Casino of Puerto Rico and the planning of the restoration of it. Last August 2 of this year 2017 in San Juan The first lady of Puerto Rico, Beatriz Rosselló, Together with the Executive Director of the Convention District Authority, Omar Marrero, announced the menu that is going to be made during the celebration of the centenary of the Old Casino of Puerto Rico on August 19 at 7:30pm.

The event,will be based in the Casino itself and inspired in the 1920s in a "The Great Gatsby" style. All funds will be raised for the benefit of the "Fortaleza para ti" initiative. Omar Marrero said that "the Old Casino is an example of history". He also indicated that he, along with the governor of Puerto Rico Dr. Ricardo Rosselló wants to carry out the maximum potential of the facility in which many events are held and is one of the most profitable spaces in the district which makes it Economically convenient for that area.

The food for this event is no shortage.Executive Chef Wilo Benet from Puerto Rico Convention Center and Old Casino in collaboration with Chef Wayne Michaelson designed a menu inspired by the delights of the time . Michaelson, along with Wilo Benet, as a collaborator, took the participants on a culinary journey through different food stations. And the entire menu is designed for guests to sample the cuisine of that era. Chef Wayne Michaelson is a graduate of Culinary Institute of America and has over 30 years of experience. While Chef Wilo Benet also graduated from Culinary Institute of America and has more than 36 years of experience. So the menu is in the best hands. 

At the gala, the atmosphere will be transformed to the year 1917 and everything predominated from that era. This was the year the Old Casino opened its doors for the first time to the public. The music will be in charge by the maestro Cuco Peña and his orquesta. The Centennial Gala has a cost of $250.00 dollars per person and all is destined to the Initiative Fortaleza para Tí. Este es mi segundo Soy de aquí post hablando de donde soy,Puerto Rico. Hoy les vengo a hablar de la celebración de 100 años de existencia del antiguo Casino de Puerto Rico y de la planificación de la restauración del mismo.El pasado 2 de agosto de 2017, en San Juan La primera dama de Puerto Rico, Batriz Rosselló, junto al director ejecutivo de la Autoridad del Distrito de Convenciones, Lcdo.Omar Marrero, anunciaron el menú  que sera confeccionado durante la celebración del centenario del Antiguo Casino de Puerto Rico el próximo 19 de agosto desde las 7:30PM. 

El evento,tendrá como sede el propio Casino y estará inspirado en los años 20 al estilo "The Great Gatsby".Todos los fondos recaudados irán a beneficio de la iniciativa “Fortaleza para ti”.El Lcdo.Omar Marrero  dijo que “el Antiguo Casino es ejemplo de historia." También indico que el, junto al gobernador de Puerto Rico Dr.Ricardo Rosselló,quieren llevar al máximo potencial la instalación en la que se celebran muchos eventos y es uno de los espacios más rentables del distrito lo que hace que sea algo económicamente conveniente para esa zona.

La comida  para este evento no podía faltar.Así que el Chef ejecutivo Wilo Benet del Centro de Convenciones de Puerto Rico y el Antiguo Casino en colaboración con el Chef Wayne Michaelson, diseñó un menú inspirado en las delicias de la época.Michaelson, junto a Wilo Benet,en calidad de colaborador, llevarán a los asistentes en un viaje culinario a través de diferentes estaciones de comida.  Y todo el menú esta diseñado para que los invitados degusten de la gastronomía de aquella época.El Chef Wayne Michaelson es Graduado de Culinary Institute of America y tiene sobre 30 años de experiencia. Mientras que Chef Wilo Benet también es graduado de  Culinary Institute of America y cuenta con sobre 36 años de experiencia. Así que el menú esta en las mejores manos.

En la gala, el ambiente será transformado al  año 1917 y todo lo que predominaba para ese entonces. Este fue el año que el Antiguo Casino abrió sus puertas por primera vez al público. La música estará a cargo del maestro Cuco Peña y su orquesta. 
La Gala Centenario tiene un costo por taquilla de $250.00 dólares por personas y los mismos serán destinados en su totalidad a la Iniciativa Fortaleza para ti. Para más información se pueden comunicar al 787.234.8977.

NYX at Macy's / NYX en Macy's

Hello Beuties:

Last week I was away from the blog because I took a break. But finishing the week I returned to my Blogger duties and went to the Inauguration of the professional section of NYX Cosmetics at Macy's in Plaza las Américas.

And I loved everything I saw. I didn't know NYX was such a complete line. That yes, I did not buy anything. Not because I didn't want to, but because I got involved in the environment knowing so many Bloggers and Youtubers from here Puerto Rico that I forget everything was there.

After I got a little makeup done and a few mimosas later. It was the ribbon cut. Not without before one of the representatives of NYX company told us to all to us details of everything related to the brand. 

Later some Puerto Rico makeup artists gave their advice and part of their trajectory.
I had a great time. I really liked the atmosphere and I really appreciate the people from
Dot Comunitactions for the invitation and the many people I  met there. Here I have some photos of the activity.

Hola  Bellezas:

La semana pasada estuve ausente del blog porque me tome un descanso. Pero terminando la semana volví a mis deberes de Blogger y fui a la Inauguración de la sección profesional de NYX Cosmetics en Macy's de Plaza las Américas.

Y me encanto todo lo que vi. No sabia que NYX era una línea tan completa. Eso si,no compre nada. No porque no quisiera si no porque me envolví en el ambiente conociendo a tantos Bloggers y youtubers de Puerto Rico que me olvide de todo. 

Después de que me maquillaran un poco y unas cuantas mimosas mas tarde. Hubo el corte de cinta. No sin antes una de las representantes de la compañía se dirigiera a todos para darnos detalles de todo lo relacionado con la marca.Mas tarde artistas de maquillaje de Puerto Rico dieron sus consejos y parte de su trayectoria.

La pase muy bien. Me gusto mucho el ambiente y agradezco mucho a la gente de 
Dot Comunitactions  por la invitación y a muchas chicas y chicos que conocí allí. Hache les tengo algunas fotos de la actividad.

Red Velvet at Arte @ Plaza / Red Velvet en Arte @ Plaza

Hello Beuties:

This weekend I was able to stop by Red Velvett at Arte @ Plaza in Plaza las Americas. And if you don't remember I covered the last exhibition called Royal Black so I couldn't let this one pass. Since this is created by The Fashion Museum of Puerto Rico to provide the First Fashion Archive of Puerto Rico.

A way to expose our fashion not only locally but internationally and make our talent known in the world of fashion. This makes me very proud and I know that not only my compatriots will enjoy this exhibition, but also many of you who are from other countries.

This exhibition features 31 designers of jewelry and fashion in addition to works of art by local plastic artists.

Hola  Bellezas:

Este fin de semana pude pasar por la exhibición Red Velvett en Arte @ Plaza en Plaza las Americas. Y por si no se acuerdan cubrí la pasada exhibición llamada 

Royal Black así que no pude dejar pasar esta. Ya que esto es creado por El Museo de la Moda en Puerto Rico para así proporcionar El  Primer Archivo de la Moda en Puerto Rico.

Una manera de exponer nuestra moda no solo a nivel local si no internacional y dar a conocer nuestro talento dentro del mundo de la moda. Esto me enorgullece bastante y se que no solo mis compatriotas gozarán de esta exhibición, también muchas de ustedes que son de otro países.

Esta exhibición cuenta con 31 diseñadores de joyería y moda en adición a obras de arte de artistas plásticos.

Local Events: Coloso Food Truck & Music Fest / Eventos Locales : ColosoFood Truck & Music Fest

Hello Beauties:

First of all I apologize. The

Last week was very busy for me and I couldn't do any post but I'm back.

And I start May with a post of comfortable fashion. Yes, because this weekend was at the Coloso Food Truck & Music Fest. This was 29, 30 April and 1 May. I didn't want anyone else to tell me and I continue torturing me with the pictures 

And at least everything I ate was very yummy. I forgot that I'm diabetic and I had to eat. The first thing I tried was Yummy Dumplings, then we stopped at Dude's, then we went to Meatball Company and ended up with a lemonade.

I couldn't taste everything that was there, it was too much food and all of it was delicious. There was also music but  I didn't pay most attention because I was actually more for the food. Then we peeked at the National Agro Expo that was right next door and we saw exhibitions of agriculture among other things.

The afternoon was great despite the rain. And I was not upset at all because it was the first rain of May and that makes us all cute.

I use a super comfortable outfit. You guy already know that white is a basic color of this season so I wore my white shorts with my floral yellow blouse . Use my gold color sandals that are super comfortable and my chokers wore to so small that I use them together to give that air of spring.

 Hola Bellezas:

Primero que nada pido disculpas. La

semana pasada fue muy ajetreada para mi y no pude hacer ningún post pero ya estoy de vuelta.

Y como no empezar mi mes de mayo con un post de moda cómoda. Si, porque este fin de semana fue el Coloso Food Truck & Music Fest. Este fue el 29,30 de abril y 1 de mayo. No quería que me contaran y me siguieran torturando

Y por lo menos todo lo que comí sabia riquísimo.  Se me olvido que soy diabética y tuve que comer. Lo primero que probe fue de Yummy Dumplings, luego paramos en Dude's,despues fuimos a Meatball Company y terminamos con una limonada. 

No pude probar todo lo que había allí, era  demasiada comida y toda estaba riquísima. Hubo música también pero no escuche casi porque en realidad fui mas por la comida. Luego nos asomamos al Agro Expo Nacional que estaba justo al lado y vimos exhibiciones de agricultura entre otras cosas.

La tarde estuvo fenomenal a pesar de la lluvia. Que no me molesto del todo porque era la primer lluvia de mayo y esa nos pone lindos a todos.

Use un atuendo súper cómodo. Ya ustedes saben que el blanco es un color básico de esta temporada así que use mis cortos blancos con mi blusa amarilla de flores. Use mis sandalias color oro que son súper cómodas y mi collares al ser tan pequeños los use juntos para dar ese aire de primavera.
