This weekend I had the privilege of attending the 100th anniversary of the Casino of Puerto Rico held last Saturday, August 19. This Gala was in benefit of the Initiative "Fortaleza para Tí", and I had mentioned some of this here, but to give you a brief summary this initiative is to coordinate services for the most needy communities in Puerto Rico. This project comes from the First Lady of Puerto Rico Beatriz Rosselló and is also led by her. This initiative will focus on special needs such as lack of services to the community, infrastructure development, individual development opportunities,crime prevention among others.
The evening was in Great Gatsby style and the decor of the Casino was aesthetically beautiful. The colors and the atmosphere was one of glamor and imposing. All the decoration had a combination of elements of the time with modern touches that stood out and gave pleasure to the look. Since on the first floor there were two rooms which had a completely different but elegant decorations. And when we go to the second floor of the Casino it becomes more luxurious with a beautiful imperial style. The whole staircase was marble and a chandelier in the same center that besides being shockingly beautiful was imposing. And the decorations of the two rooms downstairs were combined there to give a decoration and atmosphere of another world.
In addition to the beauty of the Casino I had the great opportunity to taste the food of the Chefs Wilo Benet and Wayne Michaelson which had their menu distributed in 5 stations the fifth being dessert alone. The presentation of the food was beautiful and the food itself was exquisite. All served in sample dishes with different flavors and that I'n not counting on the appetizers.
The governor of Puerto Rico and the First Lady came to the gala in a very elegant way. The first lady looked beautiful with her pregnant belly and that didn't stop her from dancing after addressing those present. Lcdo.Omar Marrero was also there giving a brief explanation of the history of the Casino de Puerto Rico next to Jorge Perez.

Este fin de semana tuve el privilegio de asistir al 100 aniversario del Casino de Puerto Rico celebrado el pasado sábado 19 de agosto. Esta gala fue a beneficio de la Iniciativa Fortaleza para Ti,ya yo les había mencionado algo de esto aquí, pero para darles un breve resumen,esta iniciativa es para coordinar servicios para las comunidades mas necesitadas de Puerto Rico. Este proyecto surge de la Primera Dama de Puerto Rico Beatriz Rosselló y también es liderada por ella.Esta iniciativa se enfocara necesidades especiales como falta de servicios a la comunidad, desarrollo de infraestructura,oportunidades de desarrollo individual, prevención de criminalidad entre otras.
La velada fue estilo Great Gatsby y la decoración del Casino de Puerto Rico era estéticamente hermosa. Los colores y el ambiente que daba era de glamour e imponencia. Toda la decoración tenia una combinación de elementos de la época con toques modernos que resaltaban y daban gusto a la mirada. Ya que en el primer piso habían dos salas las cuales tenían una decoración completamente diferente pero elegantes. Ya cuando vamos al segundo piso del Casino se vuelve mas lujoso con un estilo imperial hermoso. Toda la escalera de marmol y un Candelabro en el mismo centro que además de ser impactantemente hermoso era imponente. Y las decoraciones de las dos salas de abajo se combinaban para dar una decoración y ambiente de otro mundo.
Además de la belleza del Casino tuve la gran oportunidad de probar la comida de los Chefs
Wilo Benet y Wayne Michaelson los cuales tuvieron su menú distribuido en 5 estaciones la quinta siendo solo de postres. La presentación de la comida era bella y la comida en sí era exquisita. Todo servido en platos de muestra con sabores diferentes y eso que no estoy contando con los entremeses.
El gobernador de Puerto Rico y la Primera Dama llegaron a la gala de manera muy elegante. La primera dama se veía hermosa con su barriga de embarazada y eso no le impidió bailar despues de haberse dirigido a los que estábamos allí presentes. También se dirigió a todos el Lcdo.Omar Marrero dando una breve explicación de la historia del Casino de Puerto Rico junto a Jorge Pérez .
