Our Colors Pintalto / Nuestros Colores Pintalto

Hello Beauties:

Visiting my Enchanted Island for a while will give me a lot of outfit ideas and a lot of inspiration. Vivid colors are law in a tropical place like Puerto Rico. And today I don't just want to show you my outfit I want to show you Pintalto. Pintalto is the biggest Macro Mural (so far) in Puerto Rico and is located in my beautiful town of Aguadilla. It's in the Cerro Cabrera in Down Town of Aguadilla and is composed of several mosaics and is called "Amanecer Borincano wich means"Puertorrican Dawn". It was created and designed by architect Samuel González, who has the Pintalto Inc. organization and was also assisted by several volunteers and community members of Cerro Cabrera.

This Macro Mural took first place in the National Conference of Mayors of the United States
on the Quality of Life category held in Honolulu, Hawaii. Which fills me with a lot of pride. And I don't intend to go into details of my outfit but if you think at some point see this wonder. I recommend appropriate sports shoes, pick up the hair because it is quite hot, shades and to stay quite hydrated.

It's a very interesting maze of colors where you find art and creativity in each corner until culminating with a terrace where you can see the entire coast. You also find a lot of art going down like the flag of Puerto Rico in stone among other things. It is an adventure and a unique experience. I hope you are encouraged to see it.

Hola Bellezas:

Estando de Visita en mi Isla del Encanto por un tiempo me dará un montón de ideas de atuendos y mucha mucha inspiración. Los colores vivos son ley en un lugar tropical como Puerto Rico. Y hoy no solo les quiero mostrar mi atuendo quiero mostrarles Pintalto.Pintalto es el Macro Mural mas grande (hasta el momento) en Puerto Rico y esta ubicado en mi hermoso pueblo de Aguadilla. Esta en el el Cerro Cabrera del Pueblo de Aguadilla y se compone de varios mosaicos y es llamado “Amanecer Borincano”. Fue creado y diseñado por el Arquitecto Samuel González, quien tiene la organización Pintalto Inc. Y también fue asistido por varios voluntarios y miembros de la comunidad del mismo Cerro Cabrera.

Este Macro mural tuvo el primer lugar  en La Conferencia Nacional de Alcaldes de Estados Unidos
por la categoría Calidad de Vida celebrada en Honolulu,Hawaii. Lo cual me llena de mucho orgullo. Y no pretendo entrar en detalles de mi atuendo pero si piensan en algún momento ver esta maravilla. Les recomiendo un calzado deportivo apropiado,recoger el pelo porque hace bastante calor,unas gafas y mantenerse bastante hidratado.

Es un laberinto de colores súper interesante en donde encuentras arte y creatividad en cada esquina hasta culminar con una terraza donde puedes ver toda la costa. También encuentras mucha arte bajando como la bandera de Puerto Rico en piedra entre otras cosas mas. Es una aventura y una experiencia única. Espero que se animen a verlo.

Zaful New Arrivals Wish List / Wish List de Nuevas Llegadas de Zaful

Each store has its New Arrivals of items for each season. And since we are in full spring and summer is looming. I decided to make a Wish List of Zaful's New Arrivals.

Cada tienda tiene sus Nuevas Llegadas de artículos para cada temporada. Y ya que estamos en plena primavera y se esta asomando el verano. Decidí hacer un Wish List de las Nuevas Llegadas de Zaful.

Welcome Spring with Amazonas Accessorios / Bienvenida a la Primavera con Amazonas Accesorios

Today we are at full spring, and everything is blooming and taking color. Hoy estamos en plena primavera,ya todo esta floreciendo y tomando color. Y hoy les tengo mi segunda colaboración con Amazonas Accesorios.Ya yo había hecho una reseña y colaboración hace años con ellos y la puedes encontar aquí. Hello Beuties:

Today I bring you a collaboration with the Chiccloth.com online store. They are a digital boutique where there is a wide variety of dresses,shoes and accessories. At fairly affordable prices.

I wanted to try the Vintage style that they sell online. I had seen it in several stores. But when I saw this tropical print dress I was fascinated a lot and I wanted to have it to show it to you. I know that some of you girls love this style will like this dress and the other styles you will see there.

The dress arrived in good condition, the package was well sealed and the dress came in another plastic envelope in the same package. The shipment took more than two and a half weeks and that was to be expected. Since in Puerto Rico there still some problems with shipping due to the passage of Hurricane Miria. Even so, I quite liked the dress I ordered.

As in the Caribbean the Fall is hot, I thought that this was a good print for the season that can be used for the rest of the year. I added some simple accessories so that the dress was the protagonist.

Hoy les traigo una  colaboración con la tienda online Chiccloth.com.  Son una boutique digital donde hay un gran variedad de trajes zapatos y accesorios. A precios bastante accesibles.

Quería probar el estilo Vintage que venden por internet. Lo había visto en varias tiendas. Pero cuando vi este vestido de estampado tropical me fascino mucho y lo quise tener para enseñarlo a ustedes. Se que a las chicas que les encanta este estilo les va a gustar mucho este traje y los demás estilos que verán allí.

El traje llego en buenas condiciones, el paquete estaba bien sellado y el traje venia en otro sobre de plástico dentro del mismo paquete. El envió se tardo mas de dos semanas y media y eso era de esperarse. Ya que Puerto Rico todavía tiene problemas con el.correo debido al paso del huracán Miria. Aun así, me gusto bastante el traje que pedí.

Como en el Caribe el otoño es caluroso,pensé que este era un buen estampado para la temporada que se puede utilizar por el resto del año. Añadí unos accesorios simples para que el traje fuera el protagonista.

"Thanks to Mary, I see you guys today." He said in a jocular and ironic tone,the pastor of the Church, who had lost almost everything but was willing to help his community. 3 days after that great scourge we live here. On my beautiful island, my little piece of paradise called Puerto Rico.
That great hurricane that came with anger and left with fury. That was tearing trees, disappeared houses and belongings, schools, dreams and sacrifices. That left us without Water, Power, comunications without internet and without roads. That pulled out posts, signs and doctor appointments. That left many people unemployed. It winds shook the houses and filled them with water. And many fruits were destroyed or were forced to ripen prematurely.
And when the eye came and  we  confuse it with the calm, we became skeptical of the threat and tried to return to something "normal" and then, it returned with fury. Like a beast biting bones when it collapsed walls, trees, and floors. And we prayed, we complained, "when this is going to end?!" is there is no end?!" "God deliver us". An agony A torture of water and winds. And it left, only a battery radio let us hear something of what happened locally.

And we got up to work. Because in Puerto Rico we don't burst into tears. Because here we eat the breadfruit that went flying, because the trees are taken out of the way to make way for the people. Because here food is made for the whole neighborhood so you don't weist anything. Because here even Mcdonals opens after the storm. Because here we do lines for gas on the sun and listen to the radio news and the stories that they tell us. Bakeries make bread and pharmacies sell medicines.
We lost a battle but not the war. We are standing, without fan and with the noise of the electric plant, with cold food and hot water, washing clothes by hand and playing outside. Life slowed down but we are here and we will be here. Wait for  us we will be stronger than ever. Wait for us  with our machetes in hand and smiles on our lips, with "the plantein stain" Wait for us, we are here.





Wait for us:

“Gracias a María los veo a ustedes hoy”. Dijo en tono jocoso e irónico el pastor de la Iglesia, que había perdido casi todo pero estaba dispuesto a ayudar a su comunidad. 3 días despues de ese gran azote que vivimos aquí. En mi isla bella,mi pedacito de paraíso llamada Puerto Rico.
Ese gran huracan que vino con ira y se fue con furia. Que desgarro arboles, desapareció casas y pertenencias,escuelas, sueños y sacrificios. Que nos dejo sin Agua,Luz,Teléfono sin internet y sin caminos. Que destuyo postes,letreros y citas de médico. Que dejo a mucha gente desempleada. Sus rafagas sacudían las casas y las llenaban de agua. Y muchos frutos quedaron destruidos o fueron obligados a madurar antes de tiempo.
Y cuando llego el ojo, lo confundimos con la clama,nos pusimos escépticos a la amenaza e intentamos regresar a algo “normal” y volvió con furia. Como una bestia mordiendo huesos cuando derrumbaba paredes,arboles y suelos. Y orábamos,nos quejábamos,cuándo va a terminar está “hay que se acabe ya “Dios líbranos. Una agonía Una tortura de agua y vientos. Y se fue, solo un radio de baterías nos dejaba escuchar algo de lo que paso localmente.

Y nos levantamos a trabajar. Porque en Puerto Rico no nos tiramos a llorar. Porque aquí se comen las panas que salieron volando,porque los arboles se sacan del medio para abrir paso a la gente. Porque aquí se hace comida para todo el barrio para que no se pierda nada. Porque aquí hasta Mcdonals abre despues de la tormenta. Porque aquí hacemos fila para la gasolina bajo el sol y escuchamos las noticias de la radio y las historias que nos cuentan. Las panaderías hacen pan y las farmacias venden medicinas. 
Perdimos una batalla pero no la guerra. Estamos de pie, sin abanico y con el ruido de la planta eléctrica, con la comida fría y el agua caliente,lavando ropa a mano y jugando afuera.La vida se nos hizo mas lenta pero estamos aquí y estaremos aquí. Esperanos mas fuerte que nunca. Esperanos con machete en mano y sonrisas en los labios ,con “la mancha de plátano. Esperanos que aquí estamos.

This is a new section that I will be developing for the blog. I constantly mention that I live in the tropics and that I'm from the Caribbean. But today I want to begin to deepen little areas of my beautiful island Puerto Rico.

I will not talk about pina coladas, or our beaches, I will talk about some of our hidden jewels that are in the island. In Old San Juan. Old San Juan was established in 1509 and is the oldest place within Puerto Rico. The old city is located in the historic colonial section of San Juan and within it there are many old buildings that over time have acquired architectural and visually encouraging value.

That's why with Puerto Rico Historic Building and Drawings Society I want to show you my Top 5 Inner Patios of Old San Juan. There are more than 5 Inner Patios in this historic area but these 5 caught my attention.

Esta es una nueva sección que estaré desarrollando para el bago. Les menciono contantemente que vivo en el trópico y que soy del Caribe. Pero hoy quiero comenzar a profundizar un poco áreas de mi bella isla Puerto Rico.

No hablare de piñas coladas,ni de playas hablare de joyas escondidas que están en la isla. Me refiero al Viejo San Juan. El Viejo San Juan fue establecido  en 1509 y es el lugar más antiguo dentro de Puerto Rico. La antigua cuidad esta ubicada en el histórico tramo colonial  de San Juan y dentro de ella hay muchas edificaciones antiguas que con el pasar del tiempo, has adquirido valor arquitectónico y visualmente alentador.

Es por eso que junto a Puerto Rico Historic Building and Drawings Society les quiero mostrar mis Top 5 Jardines Interiores del Viejo San Juan. Hay mas de 5 jardines en esta área histórica pero estos 5 me llamaron mucho la atención.
