And this week I wanted to start a new section called Local Wonders . In this section I will be interviewing a person who has todo with the world of beauty and fashion of my country Puerto Rico.And I'll Start with Cynthia Isett. This Local Wonder is a professional makeup artist. I admire her work I you guys to know her better she has a line of makeup and brushes and besides that a few make-ups that leave you breathless. It is an honor for me and because she is from Puerto Rico and I know you guys will love her work

Hola Bellezas:


Y esta semana la quería comenzar con una sección nueva.La misma se llama Maravillas Locales. Y en esta sección voy a estar entrevistando a una persona que tenga que ver con e l mundo de la belleza y de la moda de mi país Puerto Rico. Y voy a Comenzar con Cynthia Isett. Esta Maravilla Local es una maquillista profesional. Admiro mucho su trabajo. Quería que la conocieran mejor ya que tiene una linea de maquillaje y brochas y además de eso hace unos maquillajes que dejan sin aliento. Es un orgullo para mi ya que es de Puerto Rico y se que les va agostar su trabajo.

When did you develop an interest in beauty and makeup?Since childhood playing with makeup, I loved but never thought I would be makeup artist.

Cuando surgió en ti el interés por la belleza y el maquillaje?
Desde pequeña jugaba con los maquillajes, me encantaban pero nunca pensé que llegaría a ser maquillista.

When did you start to do make up professionally?In 2007 I took my first course I went up and getting ready to become a professional makeup artist.

Cuando fue que comenzaste a maquillar profesionalmente?
En el 2007 tome mi primer curso de maquillaje y seguí preparandome hasta convertirme en maquillista profesional.

What was the decisive moment when you said that you were going to create your own line of cosmetics?Since I started in the world of make-up  I had always wanted my own business and line of cosmetics, as I had the opportunity I decided to do it, I have not met one year of launching the line but it has been a success thanks to God, I received the support of the people and that is my greatest satisfaction.

Cual fue el momento en el que determinantes que ibas a crear tu propia linea de cosméticos? 
Desde que comencé en el mundo del maquillaje siempre había anhelado tener mi propio negocio y línea de cosméticos, en cuanto tuve la oportunidad decidí hacerlo, aun no se cumple un año del lanzamiento de la misma pero ha sido un éxito gracias a Dios, he recibido el apoyo de la gente y esa es mi mayor satisfacción.

What you want to express or represent through your makeup?The most important thing for me is to highlight the natural beauty of a women and make them feel good about themselves. But beyond that when I do other work as fantasy makeup is one of my favorites, I can express my self in art, bring to life a character, a special effects and more. What I like most is that a single face can be transformed in many ways, I have already worked for two years with my model and assistant Rose M. Gonzalez and at this time she has been transformed from Fairy to an Avatar. For me it's the fun part, to make dramatic changes in this type of makeup artistry.

Que quieres expresar o representar a través de tu maquillaje?
Lo más importante para mi es resaltar la belleza natural de la mujer y que se sientan bien consigo mismas. Pero además de esto cuando realizo otro tipo de trabajos como el maquillaje de fantasía que es uno de mis favoritos, en los mismos puedo expresar el arte, traer a la realidad un personaje, algún efecto especial y mucho mas. Lo mas que me gusta es que un solo rostro puede ser transformado de muchas maneras, he trabajado ya por dos a~nos con mi modelo y asistente Rose M. Gonzalez y en este tiempo se ha transformado desde un Hada, hasta un Avatar . Para mi es la parte mas divertida, poder realizar cambios dramáticos en este tipo de maquillaje artístico.

What inspires you?Often inspiration comes suddenly, I can be driving and I see such a place and as my mind begins to create the makeup and the stage.

Que te inspira?
Muchas veces la inspiración llega repentinamente, puedo estar manejando por ejemplo y veo un lugar y ya mi mente comienza a crear el maquillaje y su escenario.

Philanthropic work:
I noticed your interest in social ills such as when you did the make-up against domestic violence and your work with girls that are cancers patients.You are leaning in this direction? What plans do you have to somehow help this society?I think we must all do our bit to improve our society and I like to bring my talent to bring positive messages and inspire people to help others, they are moved to do something for this country.I will continue to work different types of social work through makeup, I have many plans in mind as working with self-esteem of women, among many other projects that I hope will materialize gradually, with the help of God all you can .

Labor Filantrópica:
He notado tu interés por los males sociales como cuando hiciste los maquillajes en contra de la violencia domestica y tu labor con las niñas pacientes de cánceres. 
Que te inclina hacia esta dirección? Que planes tienes para de alguna forma ayudar a esta sociedad?
Creo que todos debemos aportar nuestro granito de arena para que nuestra sociedad mejore y me gusta aportar mi talento para llevar mensajes positivos y que inspiren a la gente a ayudar a otras personas, que los mueva a hacer algo por este país. 
Seguiré haciendo diferentes tipos de trabajo de labor social a través del maquillaje, tengo muchos planes en mente como trabajar con la auto-estima de la mujer, entre muchos otros proyectos que espero se concreten poco a poco, con la ayuda de Dios todo se puede.

What do you think of the makeup in Puerto Rico and how has developed?The makeup in Puerto Rico is having a long boom, girls today are more concerned about their appearance and want to expand their knowledge in this field test of this is that there are groups dedicated to the make -up like  Make-up  Puerto Rico, which I am an administrator in conjunction with other colleagues, as well as different youtube channels.

Que crees que el maquillaje en Puerto Rico y como la vez desarrollado?
El maquillaje en Puerto Rico esta teniendo mucho auge, las chicas hoy en día se preocupan mas por su apariencia y quieren ampliar sus conocimientos en este campo, prueba de esto son los diferentes grupos que hay dedicados al maquillaje como Make-up Puerto Rico, del cual soy administradora en conjunto con otras colegas, además de los diferentes canales de youtube.

Have you worked with someone recently?I have been privileged to work with great people and excellent in their work such as designer Brian Díaz, as well as several photographers and magazines in which I am currently working.

Ootd Spring #6 /Add Primavera #6

Hello Beauties:

I bring the outfit of the day of Spring # 6. And you can see this outfit is very colorful but in its pastels tones. The blouse is all flowers and you guys already know that this pattern is a classic for spring. And for the outfit would not be so simple I use this type of blazer that I purchase for Christmas time but never got the time to use it.

Les traigo el atuendo del día de Primavera #6. Y como pueden ver este atuendo es muy colorido pero en su tonalidad de colores pasteles. La blusa es de flores ya saben que ese estampado es un clásico para la primavera. Y para que el atuendo no se viera tan simple utilice este tipo de chaqueta que me compra para el tiempo de Navidades pero nunca la logre usar para la época.

Alicia Keys Pearl Headpiece/ Pieza de Perla de Alicia Keys

As we all know this is the fashion week in Paris and always in fashion week new trends develop. Today in what remains of my day for me I wanted to show you guys something that caused a sensation. And it was the beautiful Alicia Keys. Alicia was in the Channel Show with a sleeveless blazer and wide leg pants, all black but especially with a sort of jewelry on her head with pearls.The piece is from the Channel Pre-Fall collection and the is inspired in India. And I think she looked pretty and beautiful.Her outfit was simple enough to make this piece of jewelry the center of attention. Here are some pictures. And What you guys think? She looks good this head-piece ? Would use it? Let me know

Hola Bellezas:


Como todas sabemos esta es la semana de la moda en París y siempre en la semana de la moda se desarrollan nuevas tendencias. Hoy en lo que queda de día para mi les quería mostrar una que causo sensación. Y fue la bellisima Alicia Keys. Alicia estaba en el desfile de Channel con  una chaqueta sin mangas unos pantalones de pata ancha todo de negro pero sobre todo con una especie de joyería en su cabeza de perlas. La pieza es de la colección de Pre- Otoño de Channel inspirada en la moda India. Y a mi parecer se le veía hermosa y bella. Su atuendo era lo suficientemente sencillo para poder hacer de esta pieza de joyería el centro de Atención. A continuación les dejare ver algunas imagenes. Y ustedes que creen? Se le ve bien esta prenda a Alicia? La usarían? Me dejan saber

I bring you the Spring outfit of the day # 4. And it is all black... But what can I do if I like black. Actually the blouse is a very thin material and fresh. It has small "polka dots" but what I like about it is that is longer in back than in the front. And it is super comfortable and I love it..
